Clifton Dawson

Clifton started his trade as a running back in the OVFL for the Toronto Thunder. His running abilities were recognized and blossomed with Harvard University.

Matt Kudu

Matt played in the Ontario Varsity Football league with the Mississauga Warriors. He was an all-star lineman winning one OVFL Championship.
Started for the Eastern Michigan Eagles and was named Defensive eagle of the week three times
majored in Physical Education and is presently studying for his teachers certificate.
Drafted in the 2005 CFL Draft in the third round (21st overall) .. he has earned a great deal of respect very quickly after being acquired by the Toronto Argonauts.

Jason Pottinger

Jason was a linebacker for the Oshawa Hawkeyes. He dominated the OVFL and was named Linebacker MVP for the league in 2002.
Played CIS football with the McMaster Marauders. In 2004, Jay received his first OUA Top Defensive Player award and has been named to the All-Canadian Team twice in his career. Was a member of the OUA All-Star Team in each of his final three seasons with the Marauders.
Jason was drafted in the 1st round (2nd overall) in the 2006 CFL entry draft by the BC Lions.
He enjoys fishing when visiting his cabin, and likes to spend time with friends and family whenever possible. He also enjoys community work, particularly working with children.

Thomas Whitfield

Thomas established 12 different Ontario Varsity Football League records with the Essex Ravens in 2000 and 2001 of which 6 are still standing in 2006.
With Syracuse he totaled 77 tackles, two forced fumbles, one interception and recovered one fumble recovery at Syracuse. Whitfield played all 12 Syracuse contests in 2004, his third straight year playing every game.
Drafted by the Montreal Alouettes in the 2nd round 13th overall in 2005.

Martino DiSabatino Coach Inductee

Martino was one of the co-founders of the Great Lakes Football League in 1993. The league grew from three to seven teams over a three-year period and eventually became the Ontario Varsity Football League (OVFL). Martino continues to be the head coach of the Huronia Stallions now in the OVFLs seventh year. Although he has not won a championship in the OVFL, he has been able to continually provide a competitive program out of the City of Barrie, which is considered to be a small market centre by league standards.
Martino has successfully balanced his responsibilities as a coach and administrator by growing a successful minor program in Barrie and continually promoting the OVFL. He was an assistant coach for the gold medal winning Team Canada in 2000 and has continually supported Vanier Cup venues such as Test to be the Best.
Martino played three years in the CFL with Hamilton and Ottawa
is a child therapist, and enjoys gardening.

Sandy Ruckstuhl President's Inductee

Sandy Ruckstuhl has been a member of the Myers Riders Football Club in Ottawa for 27 years where he as served as Club President for the last 25 years. He has also served in various roles with the National Capital Amateur Football Association where he currently is a Vice President and the 2005 winner of the Presidents Trophy as that associations volunteer of the Year.
During Sandys 27 years participation in football, the Myers Riders have expanded their programs to include Tyke, Midget, OVFL Varsity and Junior Varsity, Junior, Girls Touch and Flag programs. The Myers organization has captured many football championships over the years. The Club is well known for its quality teams and good sportsmanship. They have played football games throughout Ontario and Quebec and internationally in New Orleans, Daytona, Mexico City and The Hague.
The Ottawa Myers Football Club has been a model franchise in the OVFL. Sandys involvement as a governor in the OVFL has been an asset to all the membership. He has been instrumental in expansion of the OVFL especially in Eastern Ontario. Sandy lives in Ottawa with his wife Linda.

Mike Adam

Mike Adam became involved with Guelph Minor Football back in 1988, and helped with the reorganizing of the association. Over the next ten years, Mike played a major role in the growth of Guelph Minor Football sitting on the executive for most of it as President.
Mike was also one of the founding members of the Southwestern Ontario Football Association of Leagues. Seeing another lapse in programs, Mike got involved in the start of the Ontario Varsity Football League where he has been league Commissioner for seven years. His determination and dedication to the improvement of the sport and ensuring that quality programs are in place is second to none. Wanting to see positive change and unity in the football community, Mike sat as President of the Provincial Body and was the driving force in bringing Ontario back to the Football Canada membership.
Mike lives in Guelph with his wife Sandie, Jim, Kevin, Trevor, Daniel, Sarah and Abigail.
